Fairfax Urban Farm

In 2009, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and FRDC developed the Fairfax Urban Farm on East 79th Street between Central and Quincy Avenue. The garden provides employment and entrepreneurial skills for Cleveland High school youth ages 15 to 18 years old through the Cleveland Botanical Gardens Green Corps Program. Students gain valuable life skills and develop agricultural, horticultural, marketing as well as business, community, and environmental stewardship skills. You can purchase fresh produce at the Fairfax Farm Stand open on Wednesdays from 1:00pm-6:00pm at the garden. They accept cash, SNAP (Ohio Direction card), Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons, and WIC coupons. For more information about the Fairfax Urban Farm or if interested in volunteering please contact the Cleveland Botanical Gardens at (216) 721-1600 or visit their website..
